Bowman Habitat Enhancement Project

The Construction of the Upper Grande Ronde River – Bowman Habitat Enhancement Project consisted of creating an all new, low flow, side channel and high flow swales. It improved one mile of in-stream and floodplain habitat for ESA-listed spring Chinook salmon and summer steelhead species, while enhancing natural, channel morphology and the in-stream process of the Grande Ronde River located in Starkey, OR.
